Pinzgauer-Produktion: BAE verkauft an OMC

Hallo zusammen,

heute hat anscheinend der südafrikanische OMC-Konzern die Produktion des Pinzgauer II von BAE übernommen. Aus gut unterrichteten Kreisen wird berichtet, dass die Produktion auf Eis liegt...

The Production from the Pinzgauer is being transferd to South Africa , to another BAE systems factory .The BAE factory in South Africa is specialsed in producing amoured vehciles and has the research and development availble to upgrade the Pinzgauer 2, (3) to what is required from the military .The UK Gulidford operation will remain open with a staff of 25 to maintain and supply the British Pinzgauer fleet , army and Fire and rescue..In short the vehicle will never be the same again as military applications require the vehciles to be more armoured and carry greater payload ..

südafrikanische OMC-Konzern , The firm belongs to BAE Systems along with Hagglund , Amour holdings , Vickers , Amrstrong etc etc..Just part of their great big corperation.

Yes Stefan, it could look shakey for the Pinzgauer . That is true .I have heard some not so positive stories about the future of the vehicle.

Jetzt gibt's also nur noch 25 Service Wichtel in GB. Naja in ein paar Jahren werden die zahmer, und dann verkaufen Sie uns auch das original konversion Kit auf den 5 Zylinder Tdi der Army für unsere ÖBH Diesel Pinzis (die wir bis dahin haben ). (Soweit das einzig Positive aus den Umlagerungen bei BAE)
