Keeping the D24TIC running smoothly!

I've just taken the block over to get tanked, honed etc, etc, after which I'II look at assembling the motor with the rebuilt head and injector pump, but before I actually start bolting all the main and ancillary components together, I'm keen to hear any tips or tricks that owners have adopted to keep the motor reliable, cool and running smoothly.....THANKS!
