Cruise Control

Has anyone fitted cruise control to the D24TIC motor?
I'm guessing using the factory Volvo kit (for the diesel 240, 740, 960 etc) would be the easiest option.

Hello Peter,

you can find cruise controls in the bay from VDO or Waeco. The accelerator works via cabel, switch mount on steering wheel or Dashboard, one switch ( reed contact) on the break pedal ( if shifter a second on the clutch pedal) and the speed agreement via plug and play connecter inline to the speedometer ( also for digital signals availabel) . you don´t need a Volvo system or other, at this new kit priece you won´t think buy another and it´s new, with warrenty, it works no spare part probi´s. At used systems are many faults , so sample at old Mercedes are probs if they are over 20 years of age, the capacitors drying out and diodes buring through, switch contacts are damaged and the accelerator didn´t work ; singel parts by OEM are much expensiver as this universal kits and work the same time. I have one customer with an 712k with VDO system and it works over 32 years now...
