Here is a comparison picture of the two starter motors:
The one on the left is out of my 1983 710-1.6M Proto and the right-hand unit is from my 1974 712M .....I'd taken it out for a rebuild.

Where ever it is, it looks great......pity we don't have driving conditions like that here.

Thanks Richard, Gregorix, I had in my mind, that they were especially thick for the Pinzgauer but obviously not.
I purchased four boxes of the 19+mm pads today, much to the amazement off my brake supplier, who thought I'd need less.........I guess he's just not used to Pinzgauer's.

The factory TD brake pads are unique to the Pinzgauer yet the only difference appears to be that they are thicker than standard "off the shelf" pads that fit that particular caliper....... so apart from the additional brake lining thickness is there any major difference that would stop one...

I'm looking for one or all of the VDO gauges below in 24 volts, that are the "older size" 60mm diameter, NOT the standard new 52mm.

1/. Tachometer
2/. Oil Pressure
3/. Amperage.

A bit hot to do much on the 718 this week.....in the 40's most of the time. I need an air-conditioned workshop
Hopefully when the temperature drops I can finish welding and prepping the floor-pan for media blasting

Some may think I've been a bit slack of late on the 718, but believe me I have been working on it......I'm trying to get the floorpan finished before the end of the month so I can set up the upper body structure and get it sorted before I send the platform out for media blasting and an initial epoxy...

Who did you buy the Haffy from?.....I see it's got Victorian plates on it (I also live in the State of Victoria) so I'm sure I'd know the vehicle and may even have in my records it's previous owners etc.

It's really coming along and looking great!

Just checked, I've got an "old style" logo in vector format, but I've got to reload the font file so I can do the "Pinzgauer" in the correct style......If this logo is OK I'II put it all together tomorrow night!

I think I may have a vector graphics one already on an old hard drive, but it would be the old style logo ..........Is that a problem?
